Prague after Dark Will Come Alive with Light for Four Days in October!
The Signal Festival of videomapping and light art will light up the historical center of Prague for the forth time in October. The exhibition of new technologies will liven up Old Town Square, Hybernia Palace, The Fruit Market, but also Kampa.
Signal is an international festival of light, which takes place in the public area of the historic center of Prague. The festival attracts tens of thousands of visitors to the streets of the metropolis to see the outdoor lighting installations and video-mapping exhibits in places such as the Dancing House, Old Town Square, The Church of St. Ludmila, Charles Bridge, Museum Kampa, Petřín Lookout Tower or the Metronome, Střelecký Island, Klementinum or Náměstí Míru Square.
Contemporary audiovisual art will again pulsate through the historical center of Prague on four evenings. A number of artists from abroad will showcase their installations. The SIGNAL Festival of light will transform the public space of the capital city into a gleaming gallery and this year it’s free for everybody.
Over four nights in October the night streets and buildings of Prague will light up with luminous art! This year’s SIGNAL Festival, which will take place from October 15th until October 18th, features twenty installations and videomappings including immense spherical projections, introduces a one-way course that will surely enhance the experience of the festival for attendees, and offers a Sunday evening devoted to families and children. For the first time ever the educational Transmit platform will be featured as part of the festival. The third year of the festival is drawing near at the speed of light, and that means it’s high time that we introduced the highlights of this year’s programme.
