ECHO Dubai is a forward-thinking art, design and technology festival.
This one of a kind event in Dubai will feature workshops, conferences, live installations and a sound festival. At ECHO Dubai we merge the best of design, art, technology and the world of sounds to attract minds that your brand has always wanted to connect with.
MUTEK.AE will be a gathering unlike anything audiences in the Middle East have previously experienced. Concentrated on elevating the art of live contemporary electronic music and cutting-edge visual works, MUTEK in Dubai will bring together artists crossing and combining disciplines to create a unique and compelling event. Assembled by a group already intimately engaged with underground electronic music and familiar with scenes in the Middle East, Europe and North America, Director Mehdi Ansari, co-founder of the renowned Analog Room sees Dubai as ripe for developing such a project.
This first MUTEK.AE event underlines the organization’s focus on live performance and emphasis on the art of electronic and digital artistry. Headlined by international heavy-hitters Jeff Mills and Dasha Rush, it will also feature local and regional artists, giving them a rare opportunity to showcase their talent. Augmented with the presence of Québec-based artists, VJs and scenographers, organizers can not wait to debut MUTEK’s format and ethos in Dubai.
MUTEK.AE will also host discussions, workshops and networking opportunities that will be of immense benefit to anyone interested in digital creativity and electronic music in the region.
Micro MUTEK.AE will be happening at W Dubai – Al Habtoor City which will cater to Nocturne 1 and 2, SAE Institute Dubai for Panel Talk & Workshops, Dubai Knowledge Park Auditorium for the two A/Vision shows and Dubai Design District for the Dubai Design Week closing party.
Cutting-edge 3D printing showcase and conference. This event will run alongside the Dubai Airshow in its purpose-built venue at Dubai World Central (DWC), easily accessible from Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Scheduled to open in 2017
Dubai: Plans for a ‘Museum of the Future’ in the city were revealed by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on Wednesday.
The Museum will open in 2017 in the Emirates Towers area near Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai.
The museum’s motto, ‘See the future, create the future,’ is designed to reflect a new approach to government innovation. The institution will use design, technology prototyping and foresight to create real examples of change.
The museum is the first of its kind and represents a leading example of entrepreneurial governments embracing change and creating futuristic visions for a better world.
“The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it. Here in the UAE we think differently. While others try to predict the future, we create it,” said Shaikh Mohammad.
