We’re on cloud nine about Clouds, Temporarily Visible, the exhibition that explores the puffy, comfy, and daydream-inducing particles of water suspended above us. In the centenary year of the artist Jon Schueler’s birth, celebrate the scientific and romantic ambitions of clouds in art. View a documentary about Jon Schueler projected from 16 mm film, visit with artists Caitlind r.c. Brown and Wayne Garrett and interact with their light bulb cloud installation, view a performance of Pramila Vasudevan of Ancchia Arts, and join the Cloud Appreciation Society.
Other artworks featured will include early twentieth-century American photographer Edward Weston’s cloud studies, video installation work by contemporary, Boston-based artist Yu-Wen Wu, prints by famed nineteenth-century British landscape artist John Constable, a Scotch tape cloud by mixed media artist Spencer Finch, and paintings by nineteenth-century explorer William Henry Jackson.
