Since the end of 2015, Bardula has been represented by Swiss gallery La Ligne, which will be making its fourth appearance at Art Paris. From 31 March to 3 April 2016, the gallery will show Bardula’s work for the first time at this unmissable contemporary art fair, held annually in the Grand Palais.
Bardula’s exhibited artworks by Galerie La Ligne will feature ‘Dôme’:
Presented as the central work, it is a luminous, translucent structure that seems to emerge from nothingness and, at the same time, to lose itself in infinity, in a perspective that could as easily be monumental as microscopic. This crystallization evokes a mineral structure that could serve as a model for a spatial construction, an architecture suspended in the void. The work draws into an intense density of light a diaphanous delicacy, producing a majestic visual poetry imbued with unexpected serenity.
The work examines, on the basis of a mathematical, geometric framework, the relationship between colour, form and light reflection, and volume presented in perspective.
The construction accentuates the sense of space, while the arrangement of virtual volumetric figures provides interaction between internal and external space: it becomes a visual perception, an image establishing a dialogue between surface and depth.
The use of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) with variable values, magnified by their reverberation in matter, alters the perception of the whole and creates a synergy between form and light.
